Painting your home is a more involved process than you might remember. Whether it’s interior painting or exterior painting, it’s a big job that you probably shouldn’t tackle yourself.
Tandem Painting, a branch of Tandem Contracting, offers full service painting that exceeds customers expectations throughout the New Jersey area. Whether you’re looking to have your walls repainted, your kitchen cabinets refinished, or your wall[paper hung removed/installed, the team at Tandem has you covered!
It is our goal to deliver value through superior quality , great communication and industry leading protection / clean up. We firmly believe it’s about the entire experience, not just “ two coats.”
Before we lift a paint brush, we always ensure that the space is properly prepped. If we are doing interior painting, we’ll start by removing everything from the walls so that they’re completely bare. From there, we thoroughly inspect the walls for small holes or dents. If we come across any, you can rest assured that we’ll quickly fill them with spackle and smooth it over so that once your paint job is completed, you won’t be able to tell there was ever a hole.
Once any dents are spackled, we’ll make sure that the walls are completely clean. If even a tiny speck of dirt remains on the wall when we begin painting, it will be noticeable under the fresh coats of new paint. At Tandem, quality is our main concern, so you’ll never have to worry.
When our team is confident that the walls are completely smooth and level, we will use painter’s tape to line the window frames, door frames, and any molding on the walls or ceiling. This is to ensure that we can get the space evenly and completely painted without compromising your cornices or frames.
Before we begin painting, we’ll also make sure that the floor is completely covered. Whether it’s carpet, tile, or hardwood, you won’t want a splat of color landing in its center. With Tandem taking care of your painting needs, you can be certain that your floors will be in the exact same position as when we started the job.
Whether we’re painting your walls or refinishing your cabinet doors, the team at Tandem prides ourselves on efficiently completing the task and making it look beautiful every time!
If you’re looking to get the exterior of your home repainted, Tandem has you covered! No matter your home’s exterior material, we have the tools and expertise to get it looking just how you dreamed it would!
Before we start painting the outside of your house, we always start by power washing it. Our pressure washers ensure the walls are clear of dirt and dust. Similarly to our interior painting process, we’ll then repair any damaged surfaces by using a water based exterior spackle.
After we’ve repaired any previous damage, we’ll inspect the entire exterior for problem areas, including chipped or loose paint. We’ll scrape off any undesirable elements so that, when we start painting, we can be sure it’ll look perfect. If we notice any gaps between your home and its exterior trim, we’ll take a caulk gun to quickly fill them in.
Our final prep step is to cover your windows, light fixtures, and doors with plastic to ensure no paint comes in contact with them.
After we’ve painted the exterior, we’ll remove all the plastic sheeting and finish the job by painting the trimming and doors to guarantee a clean, even finish.
Wallpaper Installation/Wallpaper Removal
Wallpaper can not only give any room a unique style that’s impossible to replicate, but it’s making a comeback in the world of interior design. With the ability to last upwards of 15 years and a seemingly endless array of patterns to choose from, there are plenty of reasons to go with wallpaper instead of paint.
However, there are also plenty of reasons to not attempt wallpapering your home yourself. It is, quite literally, a sticky job with many areas for potential disaster.
The wallpaper can be made of a variety of materials including, but certainly not limited to, bamboo, grasscloth, silk, or string. They are also likely coated with a finish, whether it be a vinyl coating or fabric backing. If you’re unsure of exactly what material is in your wallpaper, you’ll almost certainly have a difficult time hanging it yourself.
Even with some wallpapers now being “peel and stick” they often end up bunched and wrinkled on the wall. When dealing with a big sheet of wallpaper, it’s difficult to make sure that it is being applied completely straight. If your wallpaper is at all crooked, it will end up driving you crazy as you’re forced to look at it through the years. Save yourself the headache by going with Tandem!
